Last weekends tournament

Our tournament last weekend in East Greenbush was another great weekend too! Starting off the pool play we played East Greenbush and won it. Amber Bordeau pitched that game. The second game we played the Lady Royals and won it 3-1. My self pitched that game. The last game for pool play we played Mid-Hudson Rebels and merced them. Tanner Barton pitched that game. On Sunday we played Warning Track Heat and beat them 8-0. Brooke Snyder had a 3 run homerun! The next game we played was the Conklin Raiders, that was such a nail biting game. We won 5-4 going into the 7th inning Amber Bordeau hits a triple with 2 outs and Tanner Barton hits a double knocking in for the winning run. The last game we played was against the Electric City Bombers. Sadly we lost 10-0. But we still got a trophy and came in second place. Next weekend were playing in South Glens Falls hopefully this time we come in first! 

Our first outdoor tournament

We are starting out our 2013 season as Adirondack Shock with a bang! Our first tournament was in Liverpool/Syracuse at Hopkins park. First game we played Saturday we played the Homerun Softball Ross and the score was 2-1, a win for us.Second game we played Webster Xtreme and the score was 13-1, another win for us. The last game we played on Saturday was against Amherst lighting which we won. On Sunday we got all the way to the finals but ending up losing 4-2 to Amherst Lighting. We came in second out of 10 teams 

The overview of our team

We are a 14u travel team from all over the Northeast area. We have teammates from all the way in Tichonderoga and then going all the way to Albany. But our home base is in South Glens Falls. Our  5 core group of girls have stayed togther on the same team for the past 3yars. We were first known as Adirondack Xtreme but later changed our name to Adirondack Shock losing and adding on a couple differnent teammates to our great team. Sometimes on teams people dont get along to well and then drama starts building up and then eventually breaks the team apart, but with our group for the past 3years we have never had any drama with our girls, thats what makes our team so special. We all came to play for a purpose, to be the greatstest softball team ever and to have tons of victory. We all have such a great connection with each other. Even though some of us are far apart from each other we still stay in contact and hangout with each other even when its not softball season. We are more than just teammates, we are a family.With spring here our season is quickly coming to a start, we have had two turnoments inside which we both came in first in but now the real fun starts to begin, we finally get to play outside. Our first tournoment starts in a month and i think i can say for all of us we are really excited to start our season. We have 3 amazing pitchers, all starters for varsity high school teams, we have an excellent hitting and fielding team too. There is no doubt that we will dominate this year as our second year 14u team.
